|
RIGHT: Liz Hahn, survivor, office volunteer and hair dresser, help new breast cancer patient with a new wig after losing her hair from chemotherapy. Earlier that day patient was fitted with new bra and breast form. The patient lost her job and therefore insurance due to her absence while battling her breast cancer. All our patients also receive new hand made Turbans to wear during their treatment. |

LEFT: In 2008 Isabel came into the BCSN Office with no means of having a bra and breast form was given her first after surviving Breast Cancer for 2 years. . Little did we know, she spoke no English and used an 8 yr. old to translate. She was in GA visiting from Peru. In Oct, 2009, Isabel contacted the BCSN office via e-mail from Peru and asked if she could please have a bra and breast form for a patient in her town in Peru that was very poor and needed the same gift the we gave her the year before. Her friend in GA came to our office and picked up the supplies and took them on her flight that day to Peru. Pictured left is Isabel handing the patient in a clinic in Peru, her first bras and prostheses. The new patient is doing well and is having treatment after her recent surgery. |
